Apologies for a lack of updates on my fundraising target - have been inundated with work as of late, including (right now) work experience at local radio station Hope FM.
The target of £750 for my London to Paris cycle is looking more and more likely as the days go by, and I'm sure if I can keep up going as I am doing then the target should be reached by July! So far I've raised a gob-smacking £315, and am nearing the 50% stage of the fundraising which is always great.
I've started donating my tips from work as well as of this weekend, and have already got twenty quid from that in the past two days. Of the two parties I covered, both sponsors offered me a drink. When I declined, and ask for that £3 odd to be put in a donation, both gave me a tenner. Hopefully things will carry on the same!
The training has been tempermental to be honest. I don't want to blame the workload too much, but I've found it hard lately to get miles under my belt. The journey to and from work is a collective 7 or so miles, so I'm doing that every day, and I did get two 20-mile cycles finished last week, but I definitely need to do more. This will happen soon.
Until the next update, thanks for those reading/sponsoring/even just passing through!
smart move getting the donations in lieu of a drink/tip! Glad the fundraising's going well - fancy some gardening work next week?
ReplyDeleteCheers, thought it was worth a punt and it pulled off pretty well.
ReplyDeleteAs for the work, depends who you are!
